Create a New Schedule – Part 2

Add the employees that you want to assign.
You can add employees and TBDs to the schedule even if you do not assign them shifts. LiveIQ keeps the employees and TBDs on the schedule so you can add their shifts at a later time.

Click Add Employees.

On the Add Employee screen, select a job or name to filter the employees displayed.

Select each employee that you want to appear in the Employee pane.

To include one or more TBDs, click Add TBD.

To remove an entry, click the entry again.

Click Done.

Set up any new Quick Shifts needed for the schedule.
For more information, see Create Quick Shifts.

Assign shifts to the employees for each day of the week.

To assign a Quick Shift to an employee, drag the Quick Shift to the appropriate location.

To assign a shift manually, click the appropriate location on the schedule.
Orange highlighting indicates that the shift is in edit mode. Hover over the shift to display the shift times and number of hours are displayed in the Working tool tip.

In Chart view, drag the arrowheads at either end of the shift to adjust the start and end times, and click the green check mark to accept the shift.

In Chart view or Grid view, use the Shift Details pane to edit the information about the shift.

To assign a shift to a different day or employee, drag the shift to the appropriate location.

To delete a shift, click the shift in the schedule and click Delete.

To replace a TBD with an employee or to replace one employee with another, click the entry that you want to replace. When the Change Employee screen opens, click the name of the employee that you want to appear on the schedule.
When you replace an employee or TBD entry, all shifts assigned to that entry are assigned to the replacement that you selected.

To copy all the shifts for an entire day to another day, click Copy Day that appears next to the date for the day you want to copy, select the appropriate days, and click Done.

Click Save.
If the schedule includes shifts for employees who are not allocated to the restaurant, a window opens to notify you. You can enter the appropriate clerk IDs and start dates and then click Save to remove the warning.
